Centrifugal casting is a method of casting to produce parts that are cylindrical in shape. It is one of the best techniques for making thin-walled cylinders. Parts of this method are cast with iron, steel, stainless steel, glass, and alloys of aluminum, copper, and nickel. Some of the most common parts produced from this method of casting are pipes, flywheels and cylinder liners. The biggest benefit of using centrifugal castings is that it is one of the only methods that allows you to easily and efficiently cast a shape with rotational symmetry. Although these shapes can be cast by other means, it is much more difficult to do so without centrifugal casting.
