Process of Seamless Rolled Ring Forging

These kinds of rolled rings are formed using a rolling mill, which can make rings in different diameters and weight. The procedure starts with a punctured circular piece of metal that is formed into a doughnut – this is why it’s called a “ring.” After the ring has been created, it is set to a high temperature until it reaches recrystallization.

The ring is then put on an idler roll and moved towards a driving roll, increasing its diameter while rotating the ring, as well as improving the rolled ring’s wall thickness.
